“Research and application on new technologies of boiler drum water level measurement ” has been successfully appraised.

 

 

    Chinese Institute of Electrical Engineering held an project technical appraisal conference in Beijing on July 2nd, 2006. Chairmen of the appraisal committee were: Hou Ziliang, former deputy chief engineer in Electric Power Planning Institute and professor level senior engineer; Liu Jizhen, president and professor in North China Electric Power University; Li Qinglin, director of safety supervision department in State Grid corporation. Experts participating in the appraisal were Gao Wei, Yan Junjie, Xu Jigang, Li Songhua, Liu Wei, Wang Qi, Hou Yunhao, Wang Shunguo and so on.


    After listening to the research reports, technical reports, test reports, customer reports and investigation reports delivered by project completing companies and other relevant units, the whole  appraisal committee fell into a heated discussion and then made some practical comments practically and realistically.


    Finally an conclusion has been made: “New technologies of boiler drum water level measurement ” includes internal drum water level electrode sensor, internal DP type water level gauge, highly precised sampling electrode sensor, low derivation mica water level gauge, wide range and full condition highly precised sampling electrode sensor, full range single-room balancing container,measuring technologies between drum and multi-hole nozzle, which covers three measuring principles(differential pressure type, electrode type and mica type). The derivation among different gauges is within 30mm, which can meet the requirements of normally running and needs under some special circumstances.Field tests and application shows that this kind of technology is of high measuring accuracy, safety and reliability, which will gain a broad prospect in application. No related reports about key technologies have been shown in foreign countries. All members in the appraisal committee agree that overall technologies of the project are in the leading domestic level. And the whole appraisal committee suggests that the technology should be improved and standardized in practice.


    This technology of the project has been successfully applied in more than 100 units of 120~2063t/h boilers in domestic power plants .
